Advancement Calculator

To advance skills or attributes, it requires character points based on the number of dice for the skill or attribute (ignoring the + modifiers). For example, a Blaster skill of 5D+1 requires 5 character points to advance by one pip (+1). Skills have 3 pips to the die (+0,+1,+2,+1D), and attributes have 4 (+0,+1,+2,+3,+1D).

  • Skills advance at die code cost.
  • Advanced skills cost twice die code.
  • Attributes advance at ten times die code, but when advanced, all skills and specializations under the attribute advance by the same number of pips.
  • Specialization advance at half die code cost (round up)
  • Force attributes advance at die code cost with a teacher (whose skill is at least 3D and greater than the student) or twice die code without a teacher
  • To make a skill Professional, it costs twice die code. It must be at least 6D, and cannot have more Professional skills than dice in the governing attribute.
